My Top 5 Northshore LI photo spots!

I was looking through my IG the other day and I realized that a lot of my favorite locations for photos are on the North Shore of LI! I live in Queens, so we’re just a short drive to the island. There are so many cute places to photograph, so I was determined to spend the day discovering a few more and posting my top 5 faves (in no special order, they’re all amazing depending on what type of shoot you’re going for :))

1.) Old Westbury Gardens- 71 Old Westbury Rd. Westbury, NY

Aside from the absolutely beautiful mansion, you’ll find acres of a beautiful botanical gardens and gorgeous structures and ponds throughout. I LOVE coming here- it is a must see during the summer time.

2.) Planting Fields Arboretum- 1395 Planting Fields Rd. Oyster Bay, NY

This is the perfect place to just spend the day walking around and exploring! Includes the Coe Hall Historic House Museum as well as greenhouses, gardens, woodland paths and just overall beautiful landscaping.

3.) Teddy Roosevelt Memorial Park & Beach- West End Ave Oyster Bay, NY This one of our little hidden gems- I’m a huge fan of their cute little beach that’s always empty on summer weekends! Gorgeous little beach spots with a harbor and marina (you can see some beautiful boats all summer), adorable little bayside park and walking paths

4.) Bailey Arboretum- 194 Bayville Rd. Locust Valley, NY

Gorgeous Spot open year round, FREE admission & parking 🙂 🙂 I love how you have free range to just continue to stroll around here. It’s great, every corner you turn there’s another cute little trail with another photo op! There’s so many gorgeous trees, and structures to pose by (gazebos, wedding arches, cute little chairs) In the summer time there’s also a plethora of lush gardens and ponds and bridges to walk over!
5.) John P. Humes Japanese Stroll Garden- 347 Oyster Bay Rd. Mill Neck, NY
Adorable gardens with Japanese architecture and landscaping. I love the rocks and the structures they make for amazing photo ops! Waterfalls, plants and Asian plants.
All of these are a short drive from the city and make for a fun little getaway for the day and a perfect spot to shoot fashion photos or landscape photos. Xoxo Enjoy!
