Work-Leisure Looks You Need

The athleisure trend has been sticking around for a few seasons and looks like it isn’t going anywhere any time soon! I love the idea of transforming your cozy activewear into a serious street style fashion statement. It is deemed socially acceptable to wear your hoodies in public with heels and your sneakers with a dress and totally pull off the perfect ‘cool girl’ look!

I’m sharing my latest athleisure inspired look, as well as a few easy tips to make your cozy athletic gear appropriate for all day wear.
For me, as I’m not really a gym person, I don’t use this trend as a way to take my gym looks to the street so much as this was how this trend originally developed. I just genuinely love the look of a laid back piece paired with an unexpected dressier piece and creating a fun, unexpected street wear look.
I love to call the look I’m wearing ‘Work-Leisure’ as this outfit is totally appropriate for the office (well, maybe) and it’s also perfect for life outside the office. I paired a tailored maroon blazer with a velvet crop underneath along with my absolute favorite pants of the moment – these drawstring side-stripe trousers from Sans Souci Stores and a pair of heeled lace-up booties in this fun burnt orange color. I’m all about pairing different shades of the same color family together for a more bold look that pops.
